Board of Directors

Lydia Kauha

Lydia Kauha served on the Supervisory Committee of Honolulu FCU before being elected to the Board of Directors in 1987. She has served as the Chairman of the Board since 1990. She attended the University of Hawaii and various Internal Revenue Service management training schools. She retired in 2004 as Revenue Officer Group Manager after being with the Internal Revenue Service since 1978.

Wyman Au

Wyman Au has served on the Board of Directors since 1984. He was previously the Secretary/Treasurer and is currently the Vice Chairman. Wyman is a graduate of the University of Hawaii and has completed the Volunteer Achievement Program as well as earning the Filene, Raiffeisen, and Bergengren Awards. Wyman served as a Hawaii Credit Union League Director at Large from 1987 to 1997 and was the League Secretary from 1991 to 1996. He was a CUNA Mutual Coordinator - National Policyowners Program Representative for Hawaii for eight years and received a Very Special Person award at the 37th Policyowners conference. He was also in commissioned service with the United States Air Force and a commander in the Hawai Air National Guard. Wyman retired in 2003 as a meteorologist with the National Weather Service with 40 years of Federal service and is also a director of K.L.S. Enviro Resources, a Texas-based company.

Dean Hoe

Dean Hoe has served on the Board of Directors since 2001 and was elected Secretary/Treasurer in 2003. From 1994 to 2000, he served on the Supervisory Committee. Dean is a graduate of Chaminade University of Honolulu with a degree in Business Administration and served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973. He has 22 years of Federal Service and currently serves as a Loan Specialist with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Dudley Kubo

Dudley Kubo has served on the Board of Directors since 2000 and served as the Secretary/Treasurer from 2001 to 2003. From 1987 to 2000 he served on the Credit Committee. Dudley is a graduate of the University of California with a B.A. in History and the University of Hawaii at Manoa with an M.A.in History and a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is a Water Resources Planner with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service. He started his Federal service in 1983. Dudley enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and kayaking.

Gailene Wong

Gailene Wong was elected to the Board of Directors in 2001. She is a graduate of the University of Hawaii, majoring in History. Gailene is currently the Grant Director of the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. She has also served as an Executive Assistant/Lobbyist for the Hawaii Convention Park Council, and as a Budget Chief and a Budget Analyst for the Hawaii State Senate. Gailene is a member of the Foundation Staff Hui, the Hawaii Hotel Association, the Hui of Grantmakers, and the See Dai Doo Society.

Jacqueline Young

Jacqueline Young retired from the Honolulu FCU as Vice President of Operations in 2004 with over 45 years service. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2005. She was selected Oahu Aloha Chapter Professional of the year in October 2000.

Orby Groves

Orby Groves has served on the Board of Directors since 2006. From 1991 to 2005, he served on the Credit Committee/Loan Committee. Orby is a graduate of Chaminade University of Honolulu with a degree in Police Administration Management. He served 30 years with the Honolulu Police Department reaching the position of Assistant Police Chief. Orby also has 22 years of Federal Service retiring from the Internal Revenue Service in 2005.
